Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is PS4 & PS5™ Pro Enhanced and offers three modes to customize your gaming experience: 4K Resolution for unprecedented fidelity, High Framerate for even smoother gameplay, or Enriched Visuals for the lushest and most realistic graphics possible. You can tell absolutely NOTHING about the game length or even the quality for that matter, simply based on the installation file size.In Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara Croft becomes more than a survivor as she embarks on her first Tomb Raiding expedition to the most treacherous and remote regions of Siberia. ![]() Therefore some game developers sometimes choose not to compress these files for faster access naturally, but at the expenditure of larger file sizes and often better quality. Some of these are often compressed to allow for smaller file sizes, but at the expenditure of longer loading times when accessing this data, as well as usually worse quality. If rendered IN-ENGINE, however, a lot of space can be spared. The data that takes up a lot of space is all the other things, such as textures, models, sounds, animations, pre-rendered cutscenes (this in particular can take up a lot of space. And that in itself doesn't take up much space as it is simply put, just many lines of code. Take Skyrim for example, only requires 6GB of free HDD space (on PC anyway) and yet it is a huge game with lots of longevity simply due to all the scripting involved which makes up the game logic and all the quests and so on. ![]() You should really do some research on the matter before you make that assumption. I find it disconcerting that people directly relate a game's length based on the amount of data the installation will take up.
